They
are
Our little Treasures If children are a poor man's riches, then grandchildren must surely be the most beloved treasure on earth. We have seven and believe me, there is nothing more precious than their laughter, their inquisitive minds and the love they show with such abandon. There are grandparents who enjoy having the wee ones around but after a while, they're happy to see the backs of the little blighters. Not us. We can't seem to get enough of them! And that's our problem. Five of our grandkids are in South Africa with our three sons and their wives. Only two are with us here in Toronto, Canada with our three daughters. Needless to say, the two are spoilt rotten. But what did you expect? They're with us all the time. We saw them born. We saw their first steps, heard their first words and watched them grow through the terrible two's. We saw them off to daycare, junior kindergarten and very soon we'll see the two make their entry into school. It has been an experience of a lifetime. And that's what we missed sharing with our five grandchildren in South Africa. But we try in our own way to make up for the distance between us. All you have to do is look at our phone bill every month. Sprint Canada shareholders must be laughing all the way to the bank! My wife Yvonne and I also make the regular pilgrimage to South Africa to see them and that has become the highlight of our lives. But more about the little guys.
Baron and Junior are the pride of our son Robin and his wife Karen. Craig
is the joy of our eldest boy, Gary and his wife Beryl while Michael and
Lynn are the love of their parents, Kevin and Carol.
